Job Description/Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
This is a full-time role for a Technical Support Engineer based on-site in Uganda. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and operational continuity of the company’s meters and related products.
1. Coordinate with the head of technical support team to offer technical support services and conduct troubleshooting for our channel partners and agents.
2. Maintenance of meter systems and devices, conduct regular audits of system performance and support scheduled maintenance activities.
3. Conduct regular checks of product systems and ensure external tech tools used meet uptime and usability standards.
4. Assist in performance monitoring of systems in real-world field conditions.
5. Responsible for pre- and after-sales technical services, troubleshooting and product maintenance services for the company's products in East Africa region;
6. Responsible for providing product technical training (including product knowledge explanation, product installation, and after-sales maintenance services) and technical guidance to channel partners, distributors, agents, and their technical personnel.
7. Other temporary tasks assigned by the tech head and Daniel.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical engineering or a related field, candidates who have worked in electricity system and equipment in tech depart are preferred .
2. Knowledge of smart meters, electricity distribution systems and relevant products.
3. At least 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical technical support field.
4. Proficiency in creating and executing manuals and test plans, identifying technical problems in a timely manner and be initiative to solve technical problems.
5. Familiarity with technical and testing tools used in electricity field.
6. Fluent in English and a good team player under the guidance of technical manager.
7. Good analytical Excel/PPT/Word and advanced presentation skills.
8. Be on time to work and abide by the company rules.
