Job descriptions & requirements
Key responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Independently complete woodworking projects from design interpretation to finished product.
- Perform precise woodworking using various mortise and tenon joints and splicing techniques.
- Operate and maintain traditional woodworking tools and modern woodworking machinery.
- Accurately calculate material requirements and plan cutting to minimize waste.
- Work with different types of wood such as pine, oak, teak, and other common materials.
- Ensure high-quality craftsmanship, precision, and aesthetic standards in all finished products.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of professional carpentry/woodworking experience.
- Strong knowledge of traditional woodworking techniques and modern woodworking equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with construction formwork engineering, interior decoration, or custom furniture is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of the characteristics and processing methods of different wood types.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong aesthetic sense.
- Conscientious, responsible, and quality-oriented.Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
