AGRICULTURAL ECONOMIST MANAGER

Key Responsibilities

·       Analyse production costs for coffee, avocado, and livestock value chains.

·       Conduct farm-level economic studies to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.

·       Lead market research on pricing trends, consumer demand, and competitor activities.

·       Drive development of business cases for agritourism, regenerative agriculture, and other strategic initiatives.

·       Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and data-driven decision-support tools for management.

·       Monitor economic risks, input price fluctuations, and revenue projections while advising management on mitigation strategies.

·       Oversee internal reporting, documentation, and presentation of economic insights.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

·       Accuracy and depth of cost, market, and economic analysis reports.

·       Timely submission of weekly and monthly farm economic performance summaries.

·       Improvement and reliability of financial models, data systems, and dashboards.

·       Quality of input into business cases, profitability assessments, and strategic recommendations

·       Ability to convert complex economic data into clear and practical recommendations for farm operations.

Required Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management, Economics, or a related field.

·       3–5 years of proven experience in agricultural economic analysis, with farm experience mandatory.

·       Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modelling skills.

·       Proficiency in Excel or data-analysis tools.

·       Solid understanding of coffee, horticulture, or livestock value chains.

·       Excellent communication, presentation, and technical report-writing abilities.
