AUTO CAD DESIGNER
Job summary
The CAD Designer will be responsible for the takeoff of detailed and precise technical drawings and designs using structural design software. They will collaborate with the sales team, engineers, and project managers to translate concepts into actionable designs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.

Primary responsibilities
- Develop and prepare detailed AutoCAD and ArchiCAD drawings and specifications for projects, ensuring all designs meet project requirements and specifications.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to gather and clarify design requirements and specifications.
- Review and revise designs based on feedback from team members and clients, ensuring timely updates and adjustments.
- Identify design challenges and propose effective engineering solutions
- Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Contribute to design improvements and innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure that the proposals for the clients meet the agreed turnaround time of 24 hours for roof cover, gutters & ceiling boards BQs and 48 hours for Light gauge steel BQs
- Support the Project’s Supervisor in carrying out site inspection and measurements
- Peer review light gauge steel structure design.
- Prepare light gauge steel and other BDL product quotations.
11. Represent the company in technical site meetings with clients and consultants on a need basis.
Education
Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or any other related field.
Experience
1-2 years of prior work experience in technical drafting and construction design.
Personal attributes
· Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings.
· Working knowledge of AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, or any other design software.
· Ability to take site measurements.
· Knowledge with FRAMECAD will be an added advantage
· Ability to undertake structural designs.
· Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
· Exceptional service orientation.
· Outstanding communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
· Ability to influence, collaborate, deliver, and partner at senior levels in the organization.
· Ability to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
