Position Overview:
Swemi Computers is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join us as a Computer Repair & Sales Intern. The computer repair technician will diagnose, assemble, repair, and reconfigure IT equipment to specifications. This will include but not be limited to Laptops, Chromebooks, Notebooks, and Desktops. They will also help in customer interaction and the sale of laptops to prospective clients. This position is specifically for IT students who are currently enrolled in a diploma or degree program and looking for industrial attachment opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Diagnose, repair, assemble, and reconfigure IT equipment to specifications
● Technically and accurately inspect, classify, sort, count, diagnose, evaluate, disassemble, and repair computer hardware
● Work on Laptops, Chromebooks, Notebooks, Desktops
● Configure, upgrade, and test computer hardware & peripherals
● Work with production personnel to drive and complete projects

Requirements:
● Currently enrolled in an IT-related diploma or degree program
● Knowledge of computer hardware and software
● Diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
● BIOS configuration and upgrade utilities
● The ability to configure, maintain and upgrade PC workstations
● The ability to identify and install PC hardware and peripherals
● The ability to answer computer and software-related questions in technical and non-technical terms
● The ability to understand and carry out instructions explained in various forms (written, oral, or diagram)
● Strong communication skills both written and verbal
● Outstanding attention to detail
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
