Job Description/Requirements

  1. Academic Instruction:

    • Deliver lectures, workshops, and seminars on topics related to counselling psychology and mental health.

    • Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and lesson plans in accordance with curriculum guidelines.

    • Provide practical training and case-based learning activities to enhance student understanding.

  2. Student Support and Guidance:

    • Offer academic guidance, mentorship, and emotional support to students.

    • Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions to address individual learning needs.

    • Support students with research projects, dissertations, and career planning.

  3. Assessment and Evaluation:

    • Design and grade assignments, exams, and other assessment tools.

    • Provide constructive feedback to students to promote academic growth and professional development.

    • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.

  4. Curriculum Development:

    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of course content to reflect current research, best practices, and professional standards in mental health and counselling.

    • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate theoretical and practical components effectively.

  5. Professional Practice and Development:

    • Stay updated with developments in counselling psychology, mental health, and educational practices.

    • Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) through research, training, and workshops.

    • Uphold ethical standards and promote mental health awareness and well-being among students.

  6. Administrative and Institutional Duties:

    • Participate in departmental meetings, academic planning, and student recruitment activities.

    • Contribute to accreditation, program reviews, and quality assurance processes.

    • Liaise with external stakeholders and professional bodies where required.

  7. Research and Scholarship (if applicable):

    • Engage in scholarly research in areas relevant to counselling psychology and mental health.

    • Publish in academic journals, present at conferences, and contribute to knowledge dissemination.
