Security Supervisor

Security Strategy & Infrastructure (Months 1-3 Priority)

·       Conduct comprehensive security assessment of the entire 100-acre estate

·       Design and implement a security master plan including patrol routes, guard posts, access points, and vulnerability zones

·       Establish strategic guard posts across the farm perimeter and key asset locations

·       Develop security protocols for all farm entry/exit points with authorization procedures

·       Create security budget proposal for infrastructure improvements (fencing, lighting, alarm systems, etc.)

·       Integrate existing CCTV and electric fence systems into comprehensive security operations

Team Leadership & Management

·       Recruit, supervise, and manage 6-12 security guards

·       Develop and implement guard training programs on security protocols, emergency response, and customer service (for farm tours)

·       Create and manage guard duty rosters ensuring 24/7 coverage, days off, and annual leave compliance

·       Conduct regular performance evaluations and disciplinary procedures when necessary

·       Foster a culture of vigilance, professionalism, and integrity within the security team

Daily Security Operations

·       Oversee 24/7 security operations with active on-site presence

·       Schedule and conduct regular foot and vehicle/motorbike patrols across the 100-acre estate

·       Monitor and manage security control room and CCTV surveillance system

·       Implement and maintain staff/visitor log-in/log-out system with produce and equipment checks

·       Conduct random searches and implement anti-theft protocols to prevent loss of produce, livestock, and farm implements

·       Respond immediately to security incidents and alarms

K9 Security Unit Development

·       Source and acquire suitable security dogs for farm protection

·       Develop comprehensive K9 training program (or oversee external K9 training)

·       Assign dogs to specific handlers and train guards in K9 handling protocols

·       Maintain K9 health, welfare, and operational readiness

·       Deploy K9 units strategically for patrols and deterrence

Reporting & Documentation

·       Provide daily written security reports to CEO detailing incidents, patrols, and observations

·       Report any theft or suspicious activity within 12 hours of discovery

·       Maintain detailed incident logs and investigation records

·       Document all security expenditures and equipment inventory

·       Generate monthly security performance reports with recommendations

Seasonal & Special Operations

·       Scale security operations during peak theft-risk seasons (avocado harvest, coffee harvest, etc.)

·       Coordinate security for agritourism activities and farm tours

·       Implement heightened security protocols during high-value produce periods

External Partnerships

·       Contract and manage relationships with backup security firms and alarm response services

·       Build collaborative relationships with local police and government security officials

·       Coordinate with local community on area security improvements

·       Represent farm security interests in community safety initiatives
