Security Supervisor – Farm Estate
Job summary
We are seeking a highly disciplined and experienced security supervisor to establish and lead end-to-end security operations for our farm. The role requires building security systems from scratch, managing a 6–12-member guard team, developing a K9 unit, and ensuring total protection of farm assets. The supervisor will work closely with management.
Job descriptions & requirements
1. Security Setup & Infrastructure:
· Conduct a full security assessment and implement a security master plan.
· Set up guard posts, patrol routes, and entry/exit controls, and integrate CCTV/electric fence systems.
· Prepare security budget and oversee infrastructure improvements.
2. Team Leadership:
· Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate 6–12 guards.
· Manage duty rosters and leave schedules and enforce discipline.
· Build a culture of integrity and vigilance.
3. Daily Operations:
· Oversee 24/7 security presence.
· Conduct foot/vehicle patrols, monitor CCTV, and maintain log-in/log-out checks.
· Implement anti-theft protocols and respond to incidents immediately.
4. K9 Unit:
· Source and train security dogs.
· Assign handlers, supervise care, and deploy K9 units strategically.
5. Reporting & Documentation:
· Submit daily reports to the CEO.
· Report all incidents within 12 hours.
· Maintain logs, investigations, inventories, and monthly performance reports.
6. Seasonal & Special Operations:
· Scale security during high-risk harvests and farm events.
· Coordinate with backup security firms, police, and local community.
