Job Description/Requirements
Summary of the responsibilities.
The primary responsibility is at micro and small scale levels and shall be to:
1.Ensure very high standard of milk and products hygiene is implemented from the start of production at the raw milk at the farm level through the processes of making the products, storage and sale.
2.Operate a micro or small scale milk pasteuriser, package fluid milk (e.g. fresh milk), clean equipment, manage waste, keep records;
3.Operate milk vending machine/ Milk ATM dispensing milk paid by either cash or mobile money (MPESA, Airtel money) or by card; loading and offloading the ATM, cleaning the ATM, waste management and recording;
4.Make fermented milk products (e.g. yoghurt, cultured butter milk, Probiotics milk), packaging, cleaning of the making/processing equipment and items, recording;
5.Make fat based milk products (e.g. cream, butter, ghee and ice cream), packaging, storing, record keeping , cleaning of the making/processing equipment and items, recording Manage and operate dairy cow production farms;
6.Market and sell milk and milk products;
7.Account for milk and milk products made and sold
8.Perform other related responsibilities assigned.
