Job Description/Requirements

  • Ensure  the route is well covered as per the Journey Plan for the respective route 
  • Deliver volumes, coverage and sales fundamentals by meeting set targets.
  • Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships by providing efficient, reliable, friendly and courteous services to all customers and ensure all customer issues are solved on time.
  • To communicate effectively with customers and maintain up to date information regarding new initiatives, prices, promotions, new product listings and de-listings.
  • List of all the products in the outlets with the help of the EABL Representative.
  • To always actively sell within the assigned selling journey plans. 
  • To take responsibility of all the stock/goods loaded for you and be accountable for all reconciliation activities by ensuring that your physical stocks and hhtc stocks balance.
  • Ensure that the physical sales and DMS Sales balance each and every day. 
  • To take responsibility of all the volume and distribution targets of the month and bad debts.
  • To adhere to the correct usage and maintenance of all work equipment issued by the company by ensuring your work equipment is in good condition and ensure its safety. 
  • To ensure completion of all ‘The End of Day Tasks.’
  • Print all receipts including the Z reports and ensure you do your stock outs on a daily basis.
  • Ensure good customer relations with all the customers.
  • Efficiently manage the Assistant Van Salesmen allocated to you. 
  • Ensure that the truck allocated to you is always clean and in good working order before leaving for route. 
  • Transport merchandize in a safe and professional manner while ensuring that you follow all the road rules and regulations. 
  • Monitor truck mechanical issues and report these to the relevant persons so action can be taken on time.
  • Keep accurate and up to date vehicle records like mileage, service and repair records
  • Maintain an organized travel schedule that saves time, fuel and is ensures efficiency route coverage
  • Ensure you comply with all the traffic rules and regulations while driving company vehicles 


Requirements:

• Diploma in Sales & Marketing or a Business related Course

• MUST have at least 3 years work experience in the FMCG industry 

• Previous experience as a Driver Salesman with a Kenya Breweries Distributor highly preferred

• Must be computer literate and MUST have experience using a digitalized sales system

• At least 5 years driving experience - Vehicle Class: C1, C, CE (BCE)

• Self-driven individual with the ability achieve targets 

• Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written) coupled with good interpersonal skills 

• Ability to build and maintain good customer relationships.

• Ability to work in a team or as an individual with minimal supervision

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to maintain high standards of professionalism at all times

• A person of high integrity and moral standards

• Minimum 35 years of age

• Must be willing to relocate from region to region
