Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team in Kiambu County. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in electrical engineering, with practical experience specifically in the bakery industry. This role involves overseeing the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment to support smooth and continuous production operations.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of electrical systems and bakery equipment.
•    Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues promptly and efficiently.
•    Ensure all machinery and electrical components are functioning according to industry and safety standards.
•    Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports on equipment status and repairs.
•    Work closely with production and other maintenance staff to minimize downtime.
•    Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failure and extend asset life.
•    Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements.
•    Recommend improvements or upgrades to enhance the efficiency and reliability of electrical systems.

Qualifications and Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
•    Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in the bakery or food manufacturing industry.
•    Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industrial control panels, PLCs, and bakery equipment.
•    Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
•    Good communication and teamwork abilities.
