Job Summary
Kenya Vineyards Ltd is seeking a Food Technology Intern to support post-harvest handling, quality assurance, processing trials, and value addition initiatives for coffee, avocados, and other farm products.
- Minimum Qualification : Diploma
- Experience Level : Internship & Graduate
- Experience Length : No Experience/Less than 1 year
Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in monitoring post-harvest processes for coffee and other produce.
· Support quality control checks and documentation.
· Participate in cupping sessions, moisture testing, and grading of coffee.
· Conduct simple processing and value-addition trials.
· Assist with food safety compliance and hygiene standards.
· Help maintain records for traceability and product documentation.
· Support R&D for new product concepts and processing improvements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Accuracy of quality assurance records and tests.
· Timely reporting of post-harvest and processing data.
· Contribution to product improvement or value-addition ideas.
· Compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
· Support provided to production and R&D activities.
Required Qualifications
· Final-year or recently completed degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, or related field.
· Basic knowledge of post-harvest management or food processing.
· Strong attention to detail and interest in quality control.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
