Job summary
The Head of Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operational functions of the college to ensure efficient, compliant, and student-centered service delivery. This role manages administrative operations, facilities, academic support services, and cross-departmental coordination, enabling the institution to achieve it
Job descriptions & requirements
Operational Leadership
- Lead and manage all non-academic operations of the college, ensuring smooth daily functioning
- Develop, implement, and improve operational policies, procedures, and systems
- Align operational strategies with the college’s mission, vision, and strategic plan
Administration & Compliance
- Oversee administrative services including admissions operations, student services, examinations, and records
- Ensure compliance with education regulations, accreditation standards, and institutional policies
- Prepare operational reports for senior leadership and governing bodies
Facilities & Infrastructure
- Manage campus facilities, security, housekeeping, transport, and maintenance
- Oversee space planning, health and safety standards, and emergency preparedness
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers
Financial & Resource Management
- Support budgeting and cost control in collaboration with finance
- Optimize resource utilization and procurement processes
- Monitor operational expenditures and identify efficiency improvements
People Management
- Lead, supervise, and develop administrative and operations staff
- Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and support training initiatives
- Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as a key liaison between academic departments, management, students, and external partners
- Handle operational escalations and resolve issues impacting students or staff
- Support institutional events, examinations, and academic schedules
