Job summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation within the health care facility. This role ensures a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Job descriptions & requirements
Clean and sanitize patient rooms, wards, offices, and public areas daily
Maintain infection-control standards by disinfecting high-touch surfaces and medical support areas
Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste safely in line with hospital protocols
Handle laundry duties, including hospital linens and staff uniforms
Restock cleaning supplies and report shortages or equipment issues promptly
Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
Respond to urgent cleaning requests in high-traffic or emergency areas
Adhere to occupational health and safety guidelines at all times
