JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled IT/Systems Engineer to provide comprehensive technical support for our manufacturing plant. The role requires expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, system maintenance, and backup management to ensure smooth plant operations. The ideal candidate should be able to troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage network security, and oversee system maintenance and recovery processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. IT Infrastructure Management & Technical Support
- Provide day-to-day IT support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, servers, routers, switches, and printers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Support plant automation systems, ensuring seamless integration with IT infrastructure.
2. Networking & Security Management
- Administer and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
- Ensure network security, firewall configurations, and data protection measures.
- Perform regular network monitoring and troubleshooting to prevent downtime.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies to safeguard company data.
3. System Backup, Maintenance & Disaster Recovery
- Manage data backup and recovery processes, ensuring critical data is protected.
- Conduct routine system updates, patches, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
4. Software & Application Support
- Install, update, and troubleshoot ERP systems, factory management software, and productivity applications.
- Provide technical support for user accounts, email systems, and cloud services.
- Assist in software license management and compliance.
5. IT Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain IT asset inventory, records, and system documentation.
- Ensure adherence to company IT policies, compliance standards, and best practices.
- Train staff on basic IT troubleshooting and cybersecurity awareness.
6. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with external IT vendors, service providers, and contractors for system upgrades and repairs.
- Evaluate and recommend new IT solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Networking, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in IT support, system maintenance, and networking.
- Proficiency in hardware/software troubleshooting, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
- Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, factory automation, and cloud technologies is an added advantage.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewall management, and IT best practices.
- Attention to detail and ability to document processes clearly.
