Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the design and sales teams to study briefs and determine requirements.
• Generate sample designs using CAD software and hand sketches where necessary.
• Prepare detailed furniture production drawings using Archicad or SketchUp.
• Apply appropriate colours, layouts, and specifications to match product descriptions.
• Revise drawings based on client feedback.
• Support the production team to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Maintain product knowledge from the company catalogue and monitor emerging design trends.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Lead Designer or management.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD); knowledge of Archicad modelling is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a woodworking, furniture or fit-out workshop, or timber manufacturing environment.
• Strong drawing skills and visual awareness.
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Capacity to manage workload effectively and learn quickly.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.
