Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.

  • Assist with system updates, backups, and routine maintenance tasks.

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues.

  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including account creation and device setup.

  • Monitor IT systems and report irregularities or potential issues to senior staff.

  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and update documentation.

  • Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff or vendors as needed.

  • Follow IT policies and procedures to ensure security and compliance.

  • Learn and adapt to new technologies as required.


    Requirements
    • Must be from Tanzania.

    • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field (preferred).

    • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Cisco CCNA, etc.).

    • Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS environments.

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and common business software.

    • Knowledge of basic networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, LAN/WAN, routers, switches).

    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

    • Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

    • Prior experience in a help desk or technical support role.

    • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Freshdesk, Zendesk, ServiceNow).

    • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
