Lead Business Analyst
Job summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Business Analyst specializing in the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the end-to-end insurance lifecycle and customer journey, acting as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and product owners.
Job descriptions & requirements
· Insurance Lifecycle Expertise: Analyze and document all stages of the insurance lifecycle (e.g., quotation, underwriting, policy administration, claims, renewals, cancellations, customer service).
· Customer Journey Mapping: Develop and optimize customer journey maps to drive seamless user experiences across channels and touchpoints.
· Requirements Gathering: Lead workshops, interviews, and analysis sessions with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, validate, and prioritize requirements for insurance products and processes.
· Process Analysis & Improvement: Assess current business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements leveraging industry best practices and technology.
· Stakeholder Management: Bridge communication between business units, IT, product owners, and external partners to ensure shared understanding and alignment.
· Solution Design: Translate business requirements into functional specifications and collaborate with solution architects, developers, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all business processes and solutions adhere to insurance regulations and standards.
· Documentation: Produce high-quality business analysis deliverables, including user stories, process flows, requirements documents, and test cases.
· Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and project teams.
Requirements
· Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Business Analyst in the insurance sector, with demonstrable experience in the full insurance lifecycle and digital transformation projects.
· Skills:
o Deep understanding of insurance products, operations, and regulatory requirements
o Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
o Strong stakeholder management and facilitation abilities
o Proven experience with business process modeling and customer journey mapping
o Familiarity with agile methodologies and digital product delivery
· Mindset:
o Strategic thinker with attention to detail
o Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
o Strong communicator, able to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with digital insurance platforms or insurtech solutions
· Formal training or certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA)
· Experience working in multi-disciplinary, agile teams
