Job Description Quality education is the foundation for development. In general, completion of basic education must mean a minimum level of literacy and numeracy, basic scientific knowledge and life skills is achieved. Capacity development to improve the quality of teachers and other education stakeholders is crucial throughout this process. Mission VVOB works towards Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) – “quality education for all” – and ensures the improvement of education: through capacity development of education actors, governmental or otherwise. This is achieved through technical assistance provided by VVOB’s global expert staff. by connecting education stakeholders across borders. This way, VVOB contributes to the facilitation of knowledge exchange based on worldwide research, experiences and expertise between partners with a similar mission. VVOB’s strategy Learning Unlimited.: Championing teachers and school leaders for SDG 4 clarifies VVOB’s vision, ambitions and approach for .You will: Take the lead in monitoring and evaluating project objectives effectively and you ensure lessons are drawn, documented, and disseminated to inform on-going implementation and future programming.You provide coordination, technical support, and advice to VVOB’ Education Advisors and partners in planning of activities.Ensure capacity development on M&E of the partners according to the needs of the partner and particular situations and phases of the projects.Take part in internal and external working groups, task forces, related to MEAL.Coordinate the collection and analysis of M&E data on the effects and impact of VVOB’s projects within the country. If you’re our MEAL Advisor, your workweek at the office will include the following highlights: You have a discussion with the Education colleagues and the government partner to review the tools for the coming baseline of the first cohort of school leaders’ blended training.You discuss a set of draft indicators you have developed for a new project proposal together with the strategic education advisors.Lunch! A perfect way to informally check in with some of your colleagues involved in other aspects of the programme such as collection on the latest change stories at the level of schools.You organize a session on Monitoring & Evaluation for your colleagues and government partners on systematization of data collection and use of digital data eco systems.You share the annual logframe report and plan for a meeting to go through it with the team.
