POSITION: MERCHANDISER PROJECT LEAD
LOCATION: NAIROBI
INDUSTRY: FMCG
Job Purpose
The Project Lead will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of the merchandising project to ensure delivery of client expectations, operational efficiency, and high-quality reporting. The role requires strong leadership, data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Execution
- Lead the day-to-day implementation of the merchandising project.
- Ensure merchandisers strictly follow approved journey plans and service schedules.
- Monitor field performance and ensure agreed service levels and KPIs are met.
- Identify operational challenges and implement timely corrective actions.
Team Leadership & Field Support
- Supervise and guide the merchandising team to achieve project objectives.
- Conduct regular market visits and accompaniments to assess performance and provide coaching.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, client standards, and project guidelines.
- Drive team motivation, accountability, and performance improvement.
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Prepare and share accurate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
- Analyse field data and convert insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure timely submission of reports.
Client Management
- Present project reports, insights, and feedback to the client.
- Maintain strong working relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Address client queries, feedback, and escalations promptly and professionally.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management or field operations management.
- Experience leading merchandising or field sales teams is required.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
