Job Description/Requirements
Baby Boma Children’s Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in providing high-quality nursing care to children. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating a range of pediatric conditions as well as educating families on their child’s care. The Nurse will collaborate closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive, register, record and document children’s’ information and present the same to the doctors at the facility.
- Provide nursing services and care to children in the medical centre.
- Identify changes in a child’s signs and symptoms and intervene in emergent situations
- Serve as a child advocate
- Determine a child’s needs related to pain management
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of clinical areas in the medical centre.
- Administer medication to children in the facility as prescribed by doctors in the facility.
- Administer patient care and nursing to outpatients in the medical centre.
- Liaise with other healthcare staff in handling children with medical conditions in the units in the medical centre.
Minimum Academic Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Valid Practice License.
Proficiency in computer applications.
