POSITION PURPOSE
The Partnership and Development Lead will provide strategic leadership in resource mobilization, donor relations, partnership development, and organizational visibility. The role is central to ensuring Riziki Source’s financial sustainability, institutional growth, and positioning as a credible partner to donors, corporates, government, and development actors.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Fundraising and Resource Mobilization
• Design, implement, and regularly review a comprehensive fundraising and resource mobilization strategy aligned with Riziki Source’s Strategic Plan.
• Diversify income streams across institutional donors, corporate partnerships, foundations, government funding, and individual giving.
• Develop annual fundraising targets, budgets, and KPIs; track performance and report progress to senior leadership and the Board.
• Strengthen internal fundraising systems and promote a culture of shared responsibility for resource mobilization.
2. Partnership Development and Donor Engagement
• Identify, cultivate, and manage high-value partnerships with donors, corporates, foundations, and strategic allies.
• Lead donor stewardship, ensuring strong relationships built on trust, transparency, and demonstrated impact.
• Negotiate funding agreements, MOUs, and partnership frameworks in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Represent Riziki Source in high-level forums, meetings, and sector platforms.
3. Proposal Development and Grant Management
• Lead the full grant cycle including opportunity identification, proposal development, submission, contract negotiation, and reporting.
• Coordinate with program and finance teams to develop high-quality proposals, budgets, logframes, and implementation plans.
• Maintain an active pipeline of funding opportunities and donor intelligence.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and timely submission of narrative and financial reports.
4. Communications, Branding, and Visibility
• Provide strategic oversight to branding, communications, and outreach initiatives to position Riziki Source as a credible and innovative organization.
• Support the development of donor-facing materials including concept notes, pitch decks, reports, and impact stories.
• Strengthen digital engagement through website content, social media, and newsletters.
5. Monitoring, Learning, and Reporting
• Track fundraising performance, donor engagement trends, and return on investment.
• Produce internal reports for management and the Board to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure transparent communication of impact, learning, and accountability to donors.
6. Leadership, Capacity Building, and Collaboration
• Build internal capacity in proposal writing, donor engagement, and partnership management.
• Supervise and coordinate consultants or staff supporting fundraising and partnerships.
• Work closely with program, finance, and leadership teams to align fundraising priorities with organizational needs.
7. Financial Oversight and Risk Management
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure donor compliance, budget accuracy, and audit readiness.
• Identify risks related to funding, partnerships, and compliance, and propose mitigation strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Business Administration, International Relations, Communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in fundraising, partnerships, or resource mobilization.
• Demonstrated success in securing institutional or corporate funding.
• Strong strategic writing, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
