Job Description

Machakos County, nicknamed ‘Macha,’ was the first capital city of Kenya and is now an administrative county in Kenya. Machakos is made up of eight constituencies including Machakos Town, Mavoko, Masinga, Yatta, Kangundo, Kathiani, Matungulu, and Mwala. Machakos Town is the administrative capital of the County.

Duties and Responsibilities

receiving, interpreting, and processing prescriptions; recording prescriptions in a pharmacy unit; pre-packing, repacking and writing instructions on labels; counselling patients on usage of drugs in a pharmacy unit; maintaining drug registers/books; and stock-taking of drugs and medicinal devices on monthly basis.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must:

Diploma in either Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent qualification approved by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board from a recognized institution; Certificate of Enrollment as a Pharmaceutical Technologist awarded by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB); and Certificate in computer application skills front recognized stalls institution
