Responsibilities:
Be involved in sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for construction materials, equipment, and services.
Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and finalize purchase orders.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.
Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies.
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to identify procurement needs and address any issues or concerns.
Assist in the resolution of procurement-related disputes or discrepancies with vendors and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations related to procurement and purchasing activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in procurement or accounting or any other related field.
Strong communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
Proven work experience as a procurement officer or in a similar position.
Good supervisory, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
Being a member Kenya Institute of management CIPS or relevant professional body.
