We are the partner that understands your needs, recruits ‘best-in-class’ talent and counsel you towards a successful conclusion to the search process.Responsibilities Oversee and supervise the transformation and production of agricultural waste into biochar compostManage the project by setting requirements, goals, and timelinesOperate a fully automated production line, while, maintaining and commissioning various types of automated compost production machineryCoordinate with all compost plant in-charges for requisition making, equipment receiving, storing, troubleshooting, rectifying, regular maintenance, and repairing of automated composting machineryExceed expectations for quality, cost, and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing and driving engineering excellenceDrive key performance indicators across all areas of the Engineering function to ensure that the project is delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standardsPartake in the recruitment of agricultural engineers and staff and coordinate their trainingImplement innovative technologiesCoordinate with partners for new integrations and toolsEnsure compliance with security regulationsPrepare and manage the finance and budget of the engineering departmentRoutinely check all risky points/control boards/controlling devices/defective parts and take immediate action to resolveEnsuring preventive and downtime maintenance within the scheduled time Requirements A Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably, agricultural engineering or similarConversational Mandarin speaking ability (preferred but not required!)At least 4 years of leadership experience in a factory or Agri-processing facilityA minimum of 7 years of professional experience and a 2:1 or above in a relevant form of engineeringDemonstrable experience in leading an engineering function with a proven track record in strategic engineering leadership delivering effective engineering strategies, policies, processes, and systemsAbility to add value, reduce costs and make business improvementsProven project management and supplier experienceExperience in operating and influencing at a strategic levelKnowledge and technical understanding of automotive bio-engineering processes, components, and design techniquesKnowledge of composting and a passion to create environmental changeProven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and developmentExcellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders, partners, and suppliersA strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levelsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesResults-orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
