QA Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements (BRD, FRD, User Stories) to create test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.

• Perform manual testing (functional, regression, integration, UAT, cross-browser, and cross-platform).

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).

• Conduct API testing and automation using Postman, RestAssured, or SOAP UI.

• Execute SQL queries for backend and data validation.

• Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure complete coverage.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).

• Provide QA reports, metrics, and documentation for stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with SDLC and STLC best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–5 years of experience in QA testing (manual + automation).

• Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect management.

• Strong expertise in Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

• Programming/scripting knowledge in Java / Python / JavaScript.

• Hands-on experience with API testing & automation.

• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Good understanding of SQL for data validation.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).

• Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).

• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).

• ISTQB or Certified Test Automation Engineer certification is a plus.
