Quantity Surveyor (QS)

QUANTITY SURVEYOR (CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY) (KENYAN CITIZENS ONLY)

Our Client a major construction / projects contracting group is looking for the following:

Position: Quantity Surveyor (QS)

Level: Senior

Location: Nairobi

Industry: Construction /Projects Contracting

Nationality: Kenyan 

Age Group: Between 30-35 years 

Qualification, skills, experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Science / Engineering in QS or similar

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction / infrastructure industry, preferably with a Construction company.

• Proficiency in Current IT ERPs, Excel and basic skills with CAD software.

• Familiarity with industry standards and codes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent organizational and reporting skills

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed

Role and Responsibilities

1. QS will be responsible for financial appraisals and valuations in a timely manner

2. Prepare and maintain cashflow projections for projects.

3. Review contract documentation and prepare relevant contractual information/ documents as necessary.

4. Attend project meetings and ensure correspondences are done in a timely and contractual manner.

5. Prepare tender documentation.

6. Supervise all contractual matters between Firm, clients and sub-contractors.

7. Assist the firm with any other Quantity Surveying matters

Compensation Package

Salary will depend on the candidate’s background and experience, with an indicative range of Gross. Kshs. 100,000-180,000 (depending on the nature and years of experience)
