Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field

Experience Requirements

5 - 7 years of extensive experience in engineering roles related to steam, heat, and cooling systems Proven track record in detailed designing of on-grid and off-grid solar systems with BESS capacities of at least 1 MWh (delivered) Proficiency in project management and problem-solving

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of our steam, heat, and cooling systems, ensuring they meet operational requirements and safety standards Oversee the installation of new systems and components, perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation Thoroughly analyze sites and collect data, followed by actively engaging with clients to provide decarbonization solutions tailored to their needs Draft project scopes, finalize agreements, and oversee external consultants who contribute technical insights to projects Incorporate technical details into Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and client presentations Respond to external and client-initiated RfQs, RfPs, and technical inquiries Produce reports in alignment with company standards Identify potential design issues, propose technical solutions, and conduct technical risk assessments Analyse data, conducting site visits, and collaborating with stakeholders to determine project feasibility Conduct preliminary and in-depth feasibility studies for solar PV, hybrid, and off-grid systems on-site

Skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders Strong leadership and management skills with a proven ability to lead teams and make strategic decisions Strong analytical skills to review and evaluate engineering designs, technical documentation, electrical diagrams, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines In-depth technical knowledge of steam, heat, and cooling systems, as well as HVAC principles In-depth technical knowledge of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems, including their components, design principles, electrical configurations, integration with the grid, and relevant industry standards. This includes staying updated on the latest advancements and emerging technologies in solar PV and BESS Advanced competency with PVSYST, AutoCAD, Homer, and MS office
