JOB TITLE:TECHNICAL OPERATOR (GAS PLANT)

JOB LOCATION:THIKA

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure optimal and safe operation of all plant machinery throughout the production process.
• Confirm that the correct materials are being used for the intended product and production run.
• Monitor and adjust machine parameters to ensure they are within specified operational limits.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment within the filling room and general plant area.
• Undertake and complete pending repair or maintenance tasks in the event of machine breakdowns.
• Carry out weekly preventive maintenance and servicing of equipment as per the schedule.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues arising during production with minimal downtime.
• Inspect and verify product parameters to ensure consistency and compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor ongoing production activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety are maintained.
• Liaise with Quality Control personnel promptly in case of any non-conformities or quality concerns.
• Clean and maintain all equipment thoroughly after each production cycle.
• Perform any additional duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Diploma or Technician II certificate in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years working in a similar role within the oil & gas sector or a related industrial environment
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
• Proficient in machine operation and maintenance
• Familiarity with gas plant operations
• Solid understanding of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations and best practices
