Kwale is the first large mining development in Kenya since and represents an exciting opportunity for high performing candidates seeking to be part of the successful development of the project.Overall Responsibility:As a member of the Maintenance team, you will report to the Crane and Rigging Supervisor, and you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment.The main duties will include but are not limited to: Carrying out accurate rigging studiesUpdating the supervisors and all relevant stakeholders on the availability status of equipmentRaising work orders in the system for corrective measuresEnsuring all rigging activities are completed in a safe and efficient mannerMaintaining a proper and updated register ofthe rigging toolsAttending to all maintenance requests professionally and promptlyEnsuring set safe machine operating procedures, legislation, and policies are followedSetting up both 60T, 22T mobile and vehicle loading cranes and ensuring they are operated as per the manufacturer’s specifications To succeed you will require:A minimum of a Government Trade Test 1 Certificate in any Engineering discipline (Preferably Mechanical)A minimum of 5 years experience operating a 60T crane operationA valid Kenyan driving license class BCE with Special endorsement for mobile cranesWorking knowledge of 22T Crane, HIAB, rigging, and telehandler are an added advantageA good understanding of workplace Safety, Health, and Environmental proceduresA demonstrable ability to work in a challenging environment with a multinational workforceA “Can Do” attitude
