Job Description/Requirements

Com Twenty One Ltd, a leading ICT solutions company is seeking to recruit an experienced EHS Lead in Nakuru.  The person will be responsible for implementing and monitoring EHS programs at regional level to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities 
• Effective management of the day-to-day health and safety operations in the regions.
• Perform regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external EHS standards.
• Implement safety protocols to mitigate workplace risks, especially for field teams working on high-risk assignments like work at height, confined spaces and working with electrical equipment.
• Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective measures.
• Promote health and wellness programs for employees, including ergonomic assessments and mental health awareness initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health regulations  
• Provide first aid support and manage workplace injuries effectively.
• Conduct EHS training sessions for employees & subcontractors covering topics such as personal protective equipment (PPE), working at height, and electrical safety & hazards.
• Create awareness campaigns to instil a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the organization.
• Ensure high level of compliance by teams to UZIMA online App.
• Liaise with Department Manager and ensure timely submission of compliance reports.
• Ensure proper documentation of all EHS procedures, inspections, and audits.
• Conduct regular audits to measure the effectiveness of EHS programs and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to ensure EHS integration in telecommunication infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety. 
• Certification: NEBOSH International General Certificate/Diploma.
• 5 years working experience in health & safety operations; with knowledge of EHS risk assessments and regulations.
• Understanding of risks associated with telecommunication operations, such as RF radiation, work at height and electrical hazards.
• Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of EHS management software – UZIMA.
• Strong analytical skills with good planning and organizational skills
• Proactive with ability to enhance a safety culture
• Ability to work with a high degree of professionalism and integrity
• Should be a team player with good interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner and good presentation skills
