We operate the largest organics recycling plant in East Africa.About the RoleAs a Facility General Staff member for our organic waste recycling facility in Kakamega, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the general operation of the facility. Your duties will include, but are not limited to, cleaning and maintaining the facility, monitoring and operating machinery, and ensuring that all waste materials are handled safely and efficientlyDuties and Responsibilities Clean and maintain the facility to ensure a safe and sanitary environmentOperate machinery and equipment, including balers, shredders, and forklifts, to process waste materialsMonitor waste materials to ensure that they are properly sorted and separatedAssist in loading and unloading waste materials from trucks and other vehiclesConduct regular inspections of the facility to identify any potential hazards or issues that need to be addressedReport any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate supervisor or managerAdhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and environmental complianceAssist in other tasks related to the operation of the facility as needed Qualifications KCSE or equivalentPrior experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferredAbility to operate machinery and equipment, including balers, shredders, and forkliftsGood communication skills and ability to work well in a team environmentPhysical stamina to lift and move heavy objects as neededBasic knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and practicesAbility to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
