Finished Good & Distribution Supervisor

Role Purpose

The FG & Distribution Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining good warehousing and excellent stock management practices to ensure effective inventory control and availability of stock.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain stocks integrity in the Finished goods store and achieve high level customer satisfaction by receiving, storage, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.
• Ensure good warehousing practise and stock management is in place through warehouse health, safety and security.
• Monitor stocks’ shelf life to ensure that there are no expiries in the store and that an effective FIFO system is in place.
• Maintain inventory by conducting daily physical counts, reconciling data and putting accurate data in the ERP (SAP).
• Support depots and interplant transfers (IPT) through timely replenishment, complaints handling and maintaining invoices
• Monitor finished goods and market returns reconciliation and account for damages.
• Prepare and submit required reports within pertinent timelines.
• Ensure ISO 22000-2018 standards are adhered to in the warehouse.
• Plan for and accomplish delivery of customers’ orders effectively within set timelines, in liaison with Customer Service and Sales Representative .
• Manage availability of both company and hired vehicles by adhering to the maintenance schedules, whilst maintaining close relations with hired transporters.
• Implement and achieve agreed performance targets for both company and hired fleet .
• Identify and report all quality and food safety issues during daily operations.

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Warehouse/Logistics management.
• Minimum three years experience in a related field
• Possess good supervisory skills.
• Experience working with ERP is an added advantage
