The role is responsible for ensuring consistent food standards, operational efficiency, compliance with hygiene regulations, and delivery of exceptional customer experiences while maintaining profitability.

ย โข Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and service delivery.
ย โข Lead, supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff to ensure productivity and performance.
ย โข Develop, review, and standardize recipes, menus, and portion controls.
ย โข Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and taste across all products.
ย โข Monitor food costs, wastage, and inventory levels to maintain profitability.
ย โข Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health regulations.
ย โข Manage procurement planning and coordinate with suppliers on kitchen requirements.
ย โข Conduct stock control, monitor expiry dates, and enforce FIFO procedures.
ย โข Introduce new menu ideas and support product innovation based on customer trends.
ย โข Investigate customer complaints relating to food quality and implement corrective measures.
ย โข Prepare operational reports relating to kitchen performance, stock, and costs.
ย โข Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operational.

ย โข Diploma or Bachelorโs Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Production, Hospitality Management, or related field.
ย โข Minimum 4โ6 yearsโ experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or Head Chef role.
ย โข Experience in restaurants, hotels, poultry/FMCG food production, or high-volume kitchens is highly preferred.
ย โข Strong knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and kitchen operations.
ย โข Experience in menu costing, inventory control, and kitchen budgeting required.
ย โข Certification in Food Safety or HACCP is an added advantage.
