Mixologist

Primary Responsibilities:

• Creating classic and signature cocktails and beverages with precise technique and presentation;
• Developing and updating seasonal cocktail menus, wine pairings, and bar specials;
• Preparing fresh ingredients, syrups, garnishes, and infusions;
• Maintaining a clean, elegant, and fully stocked bar at all times;
• Engaging guests with wine, spirit, and cocktail knowledge in a fine-dining atmosphere;
• Ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards;
• Coordinating with service team to enhance guest dining experience; and
• Tracking inventory, bar costs, and recommending stock requirements. 

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Certification is essential;
• Certification in Mixology or equivalent recognized qualification from accredited institution;
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a mixologist, bartender, or bar supervisor in a fine-dining or luxury hotel environment;
• Barista skills are highly desirable;
• Creativity in cocktail design and presentation;
• Strong communication and guest engagement skills;
• Attention to detail, speed, and elegance in service;
• High standard of grooming, professionalism, and courtesy; and
• Ability to work late night shifts and holidays when needed.
