Job Summary
The laboratory technician (lab tech) performs responsibilities according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), equipment specifications and product specifications. Depending on the product/process, the lab tech may utilize various tools, equipment, machinery, and chemicals. This position works in a Controlled Work Area.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Offer laboratory diagnostic services in a health facility.
• Collection, preparation and management of samples and specimen including safe disposal;
• Cleaning of laboratory apparatus and equipment;
• Keeping of laboratory records;
• Inventory and Stock Management
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
• Respond to emergency calls.
• Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
• Strong commitment to care of patients and general customer service.
• Must have good communication skills.
Requirements & Competences
• Holder of Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
• Registered by Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians Technologist Board. (KMLTTB)
• Proficiency in computer packages and MS Excel is an added advantage.
• Previous work experience within private sector facilities is an added advantage.
Salary: 30k.
