Position Overview
Surelift Solutions Ltd — on behalf of our client — is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Lawyer to join a reputable and fast-paced legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in court, managing complex civil cases, and providing strategic legal advice with professionalism and integrity.
This role requires a confident advocate who can handle full hearings independently, demonstrate solid experience in litigation and dispute resolution, and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients before courts, tribunals, and other dispute resolution forums.
- Handle full hearings independently and manage litigation files from start to finish.
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, submissions, witness statements, and legal documents.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare legal opinions and case strategies.
- Provide sound legal advice and updates to clients on case progress.
- Negotiate settlements and handle mediation or arbitration proceedings when necessary.
- Collaborate with the firm’s partners and associates to ensure efficient case handling and positive outcomes.
- Maintain proper case documentation, timelines, and compliance with court procedures.
- Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and the firm’s values in all engagements.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized university.
- Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
- Valid Practicing Certificate .
- Minimum 3-5 years of post-admission experience in active litigation.
- Proven ability to handle cases and hearings independently.
- Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High integrity, composure, and confidence in courtroom settings.
- Experience in a busy or mid-sized law firm preferred.
