Network Technician

• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including Mikrotik routers, switches and wireless access points,
• Conduct field installations for clients—setting up wireless links, fiber connections, and point-to-point or point-to-multipoint radios.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using diagnostic tools and remote monitoring systems.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on fiber optic cables, wireless towers, and data cabling systems.
• Work closely with the senior technicians and NOC (Network Operations Center) team to resolve complex network problems.
• Document all work performed including site surveys, installation notes, IP assignments, and maintenance logs.
• Assist in the planning and expansion of network infrastructure to new areas and clients.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and safety procedures during all technical operations.
• Provide remote or onsite support to clients experiencing internet or networking issues.
• Train junior technicians or interns as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with networking technologies and participate in capacity-building initiatives.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

•  Degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in an ISP service provider environment.
• Hands-on experience with Mikrotik, or Cambium devices is a strong advantage.
• Experience with fiber optic installations and splicing is highly desirable.
• Valid driving license is an added advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting IP networks, NAT, DHCP, PPPoE, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Ability to install and test fiber and wireless connectivity.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as The Dude, Winbox, or NetXMS.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols, and wireless standards.

• Physically fit and willing to work in the field, including rooftops and towers.
