NWSCO/PDE/1/Job specification Bachelor’s Degree in Water Engineering Technology or Civil Engineering or any other related Engineering Degree from a recognized institutionRegistrable with professional Body (EBK and IEK)At least one year work experienceKCSE certificateProficiency in Computer Aided Design; AUTOCAD, CIVIL 3D will be an added advantageProficiency in Computer skills (MS office) Personal attributes, must be a person with: Good communication skillsSelf – drivenIntegrityTeamworkDecision makingAnalytical skills Key Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for assisting with strategic and long term water system planning.Assisting with the reviews of water system capacity and service evaluations associated with water service extension projects and other potential service growth opportunities.Provide project recommendations through the use of computerized hydraulic modeling and analysis.Manage multiple projects and perform varied engineering assignments associated with planning, design, or construction.Gather and analyze water system data to assist in the preparation of strategic water system planning studies.Ensure scope and quality of work achieve the intent of all Design Concepts and Company standards for capacity, performance, reliability, safety and regulatory compliance.Develop technical information and concepts into feasible and effective engineering approaches.Develop strategic and strong working relationships with engineering firms, vendors, and contractors for the benefit of NYAHUWASCO.Provide technical expertise on engineering and operational issues.Contribute to effective communication by listening and providing constructive feedback; supporting the creation of an open and honest work environment; cascading and sharing knowledge and information relevant to other members of the team and colleagues across the business.Supervise, train, manage performance and motivate staff in the department to ensure improvement of professional skills
