Plant Engineer(Mechanical Engineering)

• To plan, organize and direct all repair and maintenance operations with emphasis on preventive maintenance
  
• To implement repair and maintenance strategies and action plans to ensure timely production support
  
• To ensure attainment of business objectives and repair and maintenance scheduling to ensure optimal plant operations
  
• To optimize human resource utilization within the department
  
• To establish individual and group accountabilities throughout the department for assigned tasks
  
• To keep up to date with and implement new repair and maintenance concepts and procedures
  
• To optimize occupational safety and health with the department
  
• To identify and highlight to management departmental training needs, staff motivation and discipline
  
• Cost cutting measures
  
• Project management
  

Requirements Qualifications 

• Relevant university degree
  
• At least 5 years proven practical experience in a similar position in a manufacturing organization
  
• Proven skills in the use of computers as a working and reporting tool
  
• Certification for relevant seminars/workshops attended is an added advantage
  
• An effective team leader with stakeholder engagement skills
  
• Demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving with strong decision-making capabilities
  
• Excellent understanding of the full repair and maintenance and project management mix
  
• High level of integrity
  
• Strong communication skills.
