Quotes Coordinator (Africa)

Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE: 

Reporting to the Lead Quoting Supervisor - Africa, a Quotes Coordinator will partner with Operations, Sales and other functional areas within Move One to develop and execute segment pricing strategies that drive business results in support of Move One’s short-term and long-term business objectives. You will be responsible for producing quotes, responses to requests for proposal, and working with all teams within the organization to achieve this. The role will also include analysis for internal providers. Our ideal candidate will have had previous experience in global pricing in the moving business.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS TASKS: 

Work with Sales and Account Management to strategize and develop product pricing, both domestically and internationally, for prospective and existing business while ensuring its competitiveness and alignment with corporate objectives.

Receive the surveys from InTrack on a daily basis to assure quotes are being created to meet set/agreed deadlines.

Ensure regular Agent follow-ups on all pending quotes (as required) and status updates for all system generated quotations, seeking further information to facilitate cross-selling / provision of additional services and greater awareness of competitor pricing & strategy

Management of day to day priorities and tasks; shifting frequently as situations demand.

Balance financials with operational and strategic needs while remaining sensitive to client deadlines and the overall goal.

Coordination of Company responses to client and prospect requests for proposal

Maintain a working knowledge of legal considerations, compliance and restrictions that affect moving pricing.

Assistance with creation of pricing models to facilitate forecasting for required headcount and associated productivity implications of a client portfolio.

Contact the Customer Care team or Agent/Vendor, as appropriate, to resolve information shortage(s)

Assist in the Implementation of regular use of InTrack with default tariffs, country info and rates / data relevant for each country of operation.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Excellent level English (both written & spoken)

High level of numeracy

High level of computer literacy, particularly with the following PC applications: Word, Excel, Open Office, Windows

6 months to 2 years relevant work experience in an international environment, preferably in a pricing role within the Moving, Transportation or Freight Forwarding sectors

Experience in procuring rates directly from agents, forwarders and/or other 3rd party vendors and quoting customers directly

Work experience in a customer-focused environment an advantage
