Job Title: Sales Executive,

Reporting to: Sales Manager - General Trade

Industry: FMCG

Location: Nairobi, Eldoret,

Gross Salary: Ksh 180,000 – 200,000 plus additional benefits,

Role Overview:
The Sales Executive will drive revenue growth by promoting and selling the company’s premium portfolio to on-trade and off-trade clients. This role requires building and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and executing sales strategies to achieve targets.

 

Commercial Strategy & Planning

·         Implementing channel & account’s strategies, terms and conditions and other best practice in the identified accounts, ensuring the best advantage for each brand/category is achieved profitably.

·         Develop and maintain a clear understanding of developments in the accounts and exploiting all the opportunities.

·         To take ownership for maximizing business volume through successful implementation, execution and evaluation of key sales functions to enhance sustainable growth and profitability for the company.

·         Successful execution of the business plans (account activity grids as agreed with Sales  Manager).

·         Servicing (including selling, merchandising, accounts growth planning and implementation, relations building, promotions and activations)

·         Ensuring continuous improvement in distribution, merchandising, call coverage, efficient resource utilization from the distributors and other 3rd party agencies.

·         To implement class of trade strategies for each brand to the best advantage for each brand in the account.

·         Schedule weekly business review meetings with the Area Sales Manager to discuss sales targets, marketing ideas and problem areas etc.

Route to Market and Distributor Management

·         Internal stakeholders aware of Marketing activities

·         Flow of information between Marketing, Market Companies and Brand Companies

·         External agencies given necessary support to deliver project objectives.

Brand Execution & Activations

·         Ensure Brand training and understanding including prioritization with all partners and their team.

·         Collaborate with the marketing and Trade marketing teams to develop appropriate plans for each market.

·         Influence consumer promotional plans and manage execution with 3rd Party agencies or distributor teams in partnership with the Marketing Team

Compliance

·         Ensure that all 3rd Party adhere to company code of business conduct relevant to geographic area,

·         Ensure that 3rd Party sales teams have an understanding of alcohol policy, procedures relevant to defined geographic area.

Qualifications:

·         Undergraduate Degree from a recognized and accredited university.

·         Successful track record as a Sales Representative for at least 1 year. Sales experience from a busy FMCG company

·         Valid driving license

·         Business Acumen, Analytical Thinking, Strategic Thinking, Driving for Results

·         Planning and Organizing, Teamwork, Building and Maintaining Collaborative Relationships, Quality Orientation and Adaptability

·         Assertive, people centric with a consultative and collaborative leadership style

·         Ability to take initiative and drive tasks to completion

·         Ability to work in a matrixed team structure
