Job Summary

Emboo River's marketing and sales teams play a key role in Emboo River's operations. The team communicates Emboo River's story and identity to potential guests, established guests and travel companies.

What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points
● Have a deep understanding of the travel industry
● Identify relevant markets and business targets
● Act as primary point of contact for marketing and sales
● Support the development of regional and local marketing strategies
● Create and execute campaigns in line with the regional and local marketing strategies
● Create content and manage social media platforms, website and newsletters
● Organise and manage events and partnerships to deepen connections with business targets and markets
● Identify connections, awards, programmes that elevate Emboo River’s visibility
● Support the Operations team to create and execute campaigns for Emboo River's sustainability initiatives
● Support the development of sales targets, identify and follow up on leads and guide customers through the entire booking process
● Research Emboo River's market position
● Develop estimates, invoices and follow up on incoming and outgoing payments
● Develop and manage travel itineraries including flights, road transport, hotels around East Africa and other related aspects
● Comfortable with a hands-on environment that involves supporting end to end campaign execution

Basic Qualifications
● 5+ years of generalist marketing and sales experience, preferably in a fast-paced oriented environment
● Previous experience in the sales and reservations department in the hospitality industry is a plus
● Kenyan nationality
● Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or similar, and a demonstrated ability in quantitative fields
● Strong business acumen; structured thinker with project management skills and attention to detail
● Strong understanding of sustainability, community empowerment and nature conservation
● Good relationship management
● A strong customer-centric mindset: you are always thinking about how our customers interact with the Emboo River
● Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to bring to life the Emboo River brand in a way that is consistent with our vision
● Strong computer skills, including understanding of email, canva, booking platforms, ...
● The ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
