Primary Responsibilities:

The Sr. Business Analyst, Sprouts sales role is an integral part of the Sprouts account team.  They will work closely with the Project and Analytics Manager and be responsible for analyzing data to support strategic decisions and preparing key business intelligence reporting for the account team and customer.   This is a highly cross-functional role that intersects business analytics, reporting, and process improvement, requiring effective internal and external collaboration.  The individual will be responsible for reporting and analytics efforts including timely and accurate reporting that will be used to drive business decisions and profitability.  The individual should have a talent for seeking solutions in extensive data sets and the business mindset to convert insights in to strategic opportunities.  The individual will work closely with the Sprouts account team to support business intelligence reporting.  They will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes for analytics.

Key Accountabilities

• Prepare business analysis/reporting packages for internal and external users
• Key liaison with Sprouts planning and analysis team
• Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solution
• Prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to think analytically and be a problem solver
• Utilize tools like SQL, Power BI, PowerBI Report Builder, DBeaver, PowerQry, AS400, Visual Basic, Microsoft Access & Microsoft Excel to combine and manipulate data into formats suitable for analysis and business recommendations.
• Assist with build, development, and maintenance of data models, reporting system, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions
• Assist with the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and performance metrics
• Assist cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions
• Ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced business environment. Capacity to learn and process quickly
• Prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed

 

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude:

Education and Experience

• Bachelorâs degree in Business Intelligence, Finance, Accounting, or Supply Chain preferred
• Distributor and/or Manufacturing experience a plus (food industry preferred)
• Working knowledge of data mining principles, analytics, mapping, and collecting data from multiple data systems
• Expert level of proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel, Access, and Power BI
• Expert SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries
• Experience working with and creating dashboards using all relevant data to inform decision
• Experience using analytics to contribute to growth efforts or other key business initiatives
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, highly interactive environment interfacing between customers and the organization working to ensure all preparations are made to promote productivity and efficiency
• Strong problem solving, quantitative, and analytical abilities
• Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes and projects simultaneously
• Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) and relationship skills with people at all organizational levels
• Ability to prioritize workload to have the most significant impact on customer satisfaction and performance to KPIâs
• Extremely trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive information or situations with discretion
• Demonstrates the competencies of financial acumen, ability to collaborate, courage, sense of urgency, and effectively managing complexity
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends
• Ability and willingness to travel by air and stay overnight to support the requirements of the position
