Study Nurse (2)

The Study Nurse will support the HTS Prep Project, which focuses on Scaling up for impact: HIV testing counselor-led pathway to accelerate PrEP delivery at scale. The study Nurse will recruit and enroll participants into the study, Collect data per approved Standard Operating Procedures -and Conduct follow -up visits in person with study participants either at the facility or at home

Terms of Employment:

This is a full-time position based in Kenya, with occasional travel to various clinics within Kisumu County. The Study Nurse will report to the project coordinator and work closely with the research and clinical teams. The position is offered on a contractual basis, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  
• Recruit and enroll participants into the study
  
• Collect data per approved Standard Operating Procedures
  
• Conduct follows -up visits in person with study participants either at the facility or at home
  
• Submit weekly summaries of enrollment and follow-up to the study coordinator
  
• Mentor facilities’ nurses and HTS counselors on PrEP delivery
  

Essential Requirements

• 
  
• Must have minimum Diploma/Higher Diploma in nursing
  
• Must be registered by nursing council of Kenya (NCK) and have a valid practicing license
  
• Must have working experience as a nurse: At least 1 year
  
• Must have research experience: At least 1 year.
  
• Must have worked in MCH clinic for not less than 1 year
  
• Excellent skills with REDCap
  
• Excellent computer skills
  
• Excellent communication skills: Must be able to communicate regularly with study coordinator via email/ Zoom
  
• Language skills: fluency in English and Kiswahili.
  
• Team player with ability to work closely with other study and facility staff
