JOB TITLE:TALLY ACCOUNTANT

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Record all financial transactions in Tally ERP in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of all journal entries.
- Monitor and manage daily cash flow and petty cash transactions.
- Prepare, process, and record supplier invoices and customer billings.
- Follow up on receivables and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Monitor and track company bank transactions and ensure all are accurately reflected in Tally.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
- Support the finance team in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Calculate, prepare, and submit statutory deductions such as PAYE, SHIF, NSSF, and VAT.
- Ensure timely submission and payment of statutory obligations.
- Assist with audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities when required.
- Maintain accounting files and records in an organized and accessible manner.
- Liaise with internal departments to resolve financial queries.
- Support the Finance Manager in other related accounting tasks as needed.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Bachelor& Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA Section 2 or higher is required
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar accounting role; experience in a logistics or transport company is an added advantage
- Proven proficiency in Tally ERP is mandatory
- Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and statutory requirements
- Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and analytical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under minimal supervision
