Role overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate cost records, managing inventory valuation, and delivering analytical insights that support strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate combines technical accounting expertise with a sharp analytical mindset.
Key responsibilities
—Maintain and analyze cost accounting records including standard costs, variances, and overhead allocations
—Oversee inventory valuation, cycle counts, and reconciliation across all locations
—Prepare monthly cost of goods sold (COGS) reports and variance analysis
—Collaborate with operations and procurement to track and control costs
—Support month-end and year-end closing processes
—Develop and maintain costing models for new products or services
—Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
