Accounts and Administrative Officer
Job summary
We are small firm seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts and Administration Officer to manage the day to day accounting and financial administration functions of the business.

Key Responsibilities
. Generate customer invoices in a timely manner and actively follow up on outstanding payments.
. Manage accounts receivable and maintain debtor aging schedules.
. Conduct effective debt collection and customer payment follow-up.
. Perform daily recording and classification of financial transactions.
. Perform bank reconciliations and petty cash management.. Reconcile payment gateway transactions, including bank transfers, mobile money, and online payment platforms where applicable.
. Prepare payroll, pay slips and ensure timely monthly submission of PAYE returns.
. Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns and other statutory obligations.
. Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and internal financial requirements.
. Monitor customer subscription renewals, billing cycles, and payment status.
. Track recurring company expenses including software subscriptions, domains, licenses, and vendor payments.
. Prepare weekly cash flow reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.
. Assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning activities.
. Verify financial statements, ledgers, and accounts, making corrections where necessary.
. Prepare management reports and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
. Assist with preparation of financial statements, audit exercises, and other finance-related functions as assigned.
. Maintain proper filing and organization of contracts, invoices, receipts, and statutory records.
. Support procurement and payment processing in accordance with company policies.
. Carry out general office administrative duties.
. Perform any other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications and Experience
. Diploma/degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
. At least one (1) year of experience in an accounting or finance role.
. CPA qualification.
. Proficiency in QuickBooks; QuickBooks Online experience will be an added advantage.
. Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
. Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
. High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Added Advantages
