ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
Job summary
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and supporting documentation

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and supporting documentation
- Assist in preparing journals, ledgers, and basic financial reports
- Ensure proper filing and organization of financial documents
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments
- Follow up on customer payments and maintain updated debtor records
- Reconcile supplier and customer accounts regularly
- Assist in reconciling stock records with physical inventory counts
- Investigate and report discrepancies in stock movements
- Support inventory control processes within the FMCG/manufacturing environment
- Assist in preparing monthly financial summaries and reports
- Support senior accountants in budgeting and cost tracking
- Provide accurate data for financial decision-making
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
- Maintain proper records for audits and financial reviews
- Support adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA Part II (Intermediate Level) is required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of stock reconciliation, payables, and receivables
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
