Job summary
Manage all financial transactions, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting while serving as the first point of contact for branch visitors. Ensure 100% cash accuracy and deliver exceptional customer service to build trust with farmers and traders.
Job descriptions & requirements
Accounting Functions (60%)
Petty Cash Management
Reconcile B2C and C2B M-Pesa transactions daily; resolve discrepancies within 24 hours
Support loan disbursements via M-Pesa; verify documentation completeness
Record daily collections from credit officers; update core banking system
Prepare daily position reports, weekly portfolio reports, and monthly CBK returns
Receptionist Functions (40%)
Greet all visitors; explain Tundar products; direct to appropriate officer
Manage credit officer diaries; coordinate cooperative meetings
Answer branch line; handle inquiries; escalate complaints
Receive and file loan applications; maintain customer records
Ensure clean, professional reception area; display marketing materials
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma in Accounting, Business, or Secretarial Studies; CPA Part I or ongoing
- Experience: 1–2 years in accounting, reception, or customer service; microfinance/SACCO exposure preferred
- Systems: Proficient in Excel; quick learner for core banking systems
- Skills: Numerical accuracy + interpersonal warmth; multitasking under pressure
